A buddy let me shoot this pistol Sunday and it was love at sight (pun intended) It had less recoil and seemed more accurate than my 226. What prices come with this model? As usual I ask the experts what they think of this fine pistol both good and bad.Remember guys Fathers day is approaching. Thanks, Dandy

The above price is normal. They are very accurate, as you have seen, and well built. High cap mags are available occasionally, but they are high. You may want to take a look at the compact model before making a final decision, I have found them to be very accurate as well as being easier to conceal.

A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.

The HK is a super fine handgun everyone I have shot was impressive. Mine is accurate feeds anything I put in it. The gun to me has a very natural point of aim. And U.S. special forces use this weapon all over the world. If Joe H has a very reasonable price on his gun. I wish I paid only $650.00 for my Usp 40. As they are much more expensive around here in VA.

    Good Luck.

I bought mine used two years ago for ($)525 w/2 - 10 round mags. Been my favorite right up until my HK (.45) USP Expert ($$) arrived! I think HK makes an Expert in .40 as well but they ARE pricey! rugster: Do the Special Forces use the S.O.C.O.M. USP variant ($$$$) or the regular USP?

$650 is about average here. If you're talking used!!! Man, why is it I live in the sh**tiest state all around, but local gun prices are outrageous???

Ive owned a USP in both the compact and the full size. I absolutly love the full size, and would depend on it unconditionally in a life threating situation.
The compact and i didnt agree and would strongly suggest firing both before you make your choice.

I got one of the very first Hk's ...I will never let it go. It goes bang every time I squeeze the trigger. I found both the compact and the full size models are equal in accuracy and dependability. I have also sold several when I worked in a gun shop. Never one came back. I would consider used ones also. you can usually pick one up for about 500.00 even. I have have over 14,000 rounds through my HKUSP40 and it has never failed me yet. Just remember, "In a world of comprimise, some men don't".
