I have a Colt 380 1908 semi-auto that is factory nickle with a blue mag. Anybody know if it is right to have a blue mag with a nickle gun?
It"s supposed to be original but???????????

    It is nickel, not nickle.

Any nickel-plated Colt M1908 should have a nickel-plated magazine, but, with Colt, anything is possible. I suspect your magazine has been replaced with the much more common blue magazine. I would speculate that some previous owner bought an extra blue magazine and when the gun changed hands at some time in the past, the blue magazine was in the gun and the original nickel-plated magazine was somehow separeted from the gun.

Finding an original nickel-plated magazine will be difficult. As with many Colts, there are small variations throughout production.

It is this kind of stuff that becomes all-consuming for collectors. Good luck in your search.
