So can anything gun related be shipped overseas?

Is there any gun related item that one can either import or export that will not incurr the Rath of Kahn? One time I thought about shipping an AR upper but decided against it. Did I do the right thing, or was I just being too paranoid?

What about leather goods? (e.g. holsters)

No problem with leather goods I think. Bayonets too. Depends on to where, but antique guns maybe also; I know I can purchase an 1889 Schmidt rubin from Switzerland and have it mailed out right to me.
