Can anyone share their opinion on the Browning BT 99 Trap Gun? I love Brownings and I want a good gun to learn the sport of trap shooting. I'm also open to other gun suggestions. Also, is there really a big down side to having a single barrel with a trap gun?

Thanks,

John

If you are just getting started in trap, just about any gun will do...

Re: single barrel/single shot - no issue for traditional trap, but bunker trap (olympic style) you can take 2 shots at each clay. Also if you want to get into skeet or sporting clays then you'll need multi shot capability. Even with traditional trap, the extra weight of a second barrel out there may help you with follow through...

I like the BT 99 shotguns. iwannausername pretty much said it all, though I prefer swinging a single from the 27.
