I would appreciate any information on the quality and reliability of this brand of 1911. I know it is not the highest quality, but is it an acceptable pistol for just shooting?

I've read that since Kahr took over Auto Ordnance, the quality has improved; if I'm not mistaken, a big reason for this is the use now of forged frames, not cast as used previously. Overall, I think the current Auto Ordnance 1911s are a good value.

Hello ,I also have heard that the Kahr connection has helped , they are very good quality(kahrs), as far as auto-ordnance , we at one time stocked and sold them , then stopped , apx. 95% of them came back with problems...we think the charles daley maybe a betterchoice for the money , we have also had verygood lick with the norinco if you can find a used one...also have your local dealer check the wholesalers for an argentine 1927 45 autowe are very pleased with them ( I personallyhave one of these)...about the same pricerange....good luck !!!!!azgunnut2@yahoo.com...d.a. stearns-gunsmith..
