The Mark V Synthetic is designed as a price-point rifle with a typical cheapie synthetic stock. The Fibermark is a high-quality Kevlar composite stock with the action pillar bedded.

Mark V Synthetic is not the typical cheapie stock like Ram Line, Butler Creek, or even Hogue's but a Wby spec'd high quality pressure injection mold. Injection molding can be like food, fast junk or good 'home cooking'.The Fiber Mark stock is a technically better stock, but won't shoot better for hunting purposes. Early Fiber Marks (Japan mfr) didn't have true pillar bedding like today's.The $75 add on for the Fiber Mark is worth it, if you don't mind a slightly heavier rifle.
    Happy Bullet Holes!
