You simply replace the guide rod with the Lasermax. They are a bit pricey, but they work well, are easy to sight in and stay centered.

I've never liked the laser sights for handgun use. If the gun is to be used for self defense- you will find you haven't the time to look for a pinpoint of light to make your mark. I quess at nightime it would be an advantage. On a Glock, the light can be mounted in the hole where the spring is and isn't too far off from the barrel. On some guns, it is mounted on the trigger guard- that's way too far from the barrel and sightings will vary too much according to distance. I'll never have one but thats me! Look for the one that mounts in the ejection spring. Good luck..

All LaserMax sights replace the recoil spring guide. daddo is confusing the LaserMax with "hang-on" laser sights, most of which are cheap junk.If you want a laser sight, these are the ones to have. The price has recently been dropped so they are much more affordable now. Thye are fully guaranteed and mine in a Beretta M92 has been flawless. Lots of fun to shoot, and you can of course ignore the dot if you want, but it will be right where your sights are looking.

I have a Glock 29 with the lasermax internal laser.....I have for over a year and no problems. Its accurate and lines up in the same spot as my trijicons. The laser is a fast pulsating. This makes it easy to pick up and its brighter than a steady spot. It is also very intimidating. I ended a confrontation with that laser....the aggressor.....retreated quickly.I love that lasermax.....get one
