I was wondering if anyone had installed aVolquartsen 22/45 accurizing kit on their gun. I am considering it just wanted to know if it made much of a difference. I am also think of putting on a Volquartsen "Exact edge" Extractor. On occasion the brass gets jammed but that is using cheap ammo.....Any info you can give is appreciated.......

got a 22/45 mk2 & was out running some aguila hv sup-max thru & next to last one in clip ( 2 new ruger clips) would end up stuck in top of chamber edge & leave a v notch in the end, bend the shell & dent on the top side of the case from the slide..load 6 or 10 did the same...did not not have same problem quite as much with regular power 22.. had a mk2 regular model without this problem...stronger main spring to slow slide down??? clip slide seems to feel the same top to bottom...solution for aguila ammo???? thanks

I done some plinking with my 22/45 last weekend,I shot at least half a brick of ammo.So I decided to fully disassemble it for a good cleaning.I have done this at least 20 or more times with the MKII.When I started to put it back together I couldnt get the pin in the butt to close as it folds back up.So I get tired of fooling with it and got the owners Manuel out.According to it I was doing everything right. But I still couldnt get it to snap correctly in place, and when I did the trigger was inoperable like it had no spring. After about two+ hour and raw fingers something allowed it to go back together correctly.I still dont know what I done different, but I could feel the tension on the back strap as it correctly went into place.I was holding it with the barrel tilted down so it would catch the trigger assembly.Has anyone had simuliar problems.Or could give me a tip.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to use your post to ask you a question, but I saw the cheap ammo comment. My dad recently bought a 22/45. He used som Remington "Golden Bullet" ammo in it and it jammed bad. What have you found that works best in this gun?-Marcus

mjgcarpenter - The Volquartsen Mark II Accurizing Kit will work in the 22/45. However, the sear spring that comes in the kit will not work in the 22/45 as the sear springs for the 22/45 anf Mark II are of a different shape. Since the trigger pull is affected mostly by the angle of engagement between the hammer and sear, not using the kit's sear spring in the 22/45 won't be noticed. You'll still get a trigger pull in the 2 - 2.5 lbs range.
