Hi Beltfed I am not a master of the scattergun -- about the best I can manage is to shoot one in the general direction the feathered lightening called quail as they are trying to get at least 3 pine trees between them and me.1. I don't care what the "books" say. There is no way you are going to be able to buy a Remington 11-48 in 28 gauge with a vent-rib and open choke (skeet or cylinder bore) in good to excellent condition on this end of Florida or Southern Georgia for less than $550 to $650. Especially when we still have over a month of quail season left. I saw a beautiful one two weekends ago. They wanted $800 for it and would not budge on the price. The "Blue Book" says that an 11-48 in 28 gauge or 410 gauge should go for $325 but if you can find some place that has them for that price PLEASE let me know. I am going to take out a bank loan--pick you up to help me--and we are going to load the back end of my full-sized Ford pickup to the brim. I will even give you a couple of you pick for the assistance.2. I saw your question about the Huglu but did not respond as I do not personally have one. Out of my financial range. I was going to stop in Norcross, Georgia on my way back from northern Georgia at Phil Thompson's gun shop and look them over -- even shoulder one a time or two, but everything was ice and snow and I wanted to get back to northern Florida as soon as possible. He goes by ton80@mindspring.com and the phone number is (777) 908-2425. He seems to be a pretty square shooter, I think he would give you a good idea of how they are, but remember he is in the business to sell them. There are a couple of others who do have actual experience with SxS Huglus. They are Buckeye1 and Crawdog and both have posts that have sunk to page 10 -- maybe further by the time you see this. They are both posted 01-01-2002 and are fairly close together.THANK GOODNESS -- THANK GOODNESS ---- RAIN!!!So A Wonderful Slow Rainy DIXIE Evening To You And Yours
