    1200's came out in the mid-60s. There was a whole slew of different 1200's.1300's came out in the mid-80's. There is a whole slew of different 1300's as well. Most have the "Winchoke" tube system.

    I don't know how much difference there is But I have a 1200 and the 1300 slug barrel fits it and works great. I like the 1200 because it is light and easy to tote all day.
