I am interested in a Ruger 22LR for target shooting and general plinking. Anyone has a sugggestion about which model or models I shold look at?Thanks,David

    10/22 you can't go wrong. If you hurry you can get a 25rd mag for less than 100.00.

    The 10/22 would be the best. Its a nice little gun.

    As mentioned above, you can't go wrong with the 10/22. A few tips though before you buy... First, don't bother with the stainless barrel. It's not actually stainless, but is unfinished with a clear coat. For a basic model expect to spend about 150 bucks. You can get it even cheaper if it is used.If you just want some plinking, a buy an inexpensive scope and you're ready to go. Total cost: about $170If you want some real target shooting, you'll need a little bit of work. A bull barrel to minimize heat, a stock for the new barrel, a good scope, and maybe some trigger work will be needed. Total cost: about $400In a nutshell it's a matter of how important it is to you to hit the same hole twice.
