Anyone ever use a Arcus Hi-Power? Is it a good, cheap, Hi-Power clone or is the FEG better?

The FEG is closer to the standard Browning in design. I've only handled a couple of the Arcus, they seemed okay. I've handled several dozen of the FEG PJK 9HP, they all looked and performed well. The only exception was when the company (KBI) started putting aftermarket high cap mags in them from the factory, they didn't work for *^#&. The factory high cap or the factory ten round mags worked just fine, but for a time the importer was putting no-name high cap mags in with the gun brand new and they didn't work. As soon as they used quality mags again, they were just fine. The Arcus had a problem with the grips tearing in half. They used a copy of a Hogue that did not hold up. I received one brand new in the box that the grip had torn from the stress of being on the gun. A replacement one they sent did the same thing within days after it was put on. I just ended up putting on a new actual Hogue grip and never had anymore problems. As for function of the gun itself, never heard any complaints.

lrarmsxWhen you used the Arcus Hi-Power did you ever experience a "thumb pinch" from the hammer? I know that with my large hands just loading a FEG will sometime pinch my hand if I'm not careful.

The ring style hammer wont pinch the web of your hand. Either bob yours or get a ring hammer.
