I see a flatter 2" drop at 200 yards. But does any body know what vol. and impact will still be?

I'm not sure what 200 yd velocity will be but I do know that the 17grV-Max will expend a heck of a hurt on a crow or prarie dog and we'll have to check out the effect on groundhogs!! I'm not looking at it as a "200 yard, shoot all varmints" cartridge but the idea is facinating enough that the first one of 23 ordered by the local gunshop will be mine!! It will need to be treated as a centerfire barrel for breakin because it will copper foul. Cleaning will be a major problem with this caliber because a lot of people who don't know beans about cleaning will get them and then comlain as accuracy gets worse. I'm going to be on the cutting edge of testing for the public though!!

Rick Jamison gives this subject a pretty thorough run-down in Feb. 2002 Shooting Times.
