How is tht camo finish applied to "factory" camo barrels? What I'm getting at is I have an 870 Super Mag with the black matt barrel that I wish was the factory camo. In the alternative, does anyone have a source for Remington factory camo barrels? A post on the WTB site has generated zero replies. Thanks in advance.
Peace, Love, and Coondogs.......

I have 2 guns that are camo, one is a older rem 700 and a new browning bps shadowgrass.I am not sure but it is maybe a powdercoat type finish, the rem is starting to wear a little but the 10 ga. is brand new. My brother has a mossberg 835 ultimag that is camo BUT, it seems to be a spry on type.

There is a "seller" on the auction section of this site, that says they will "camo" anything you want done. I have not personally had them do anything for me, but it might be worth it to you to check out having your barrel done. The site is www.Gunsonsale.com Best of luck on the camo barrel.

I too love camo shotguns, I recently called remington to purchase a 1187 supermag camo barrel and was told that they would not sell them seperatly. The 870 might be different. Anyway good luck.

When I worked at a bow factory our cammo was put on by dipping (a sheet of the cammo pattern is floated on a water tank, than the part is dipped thru the pattern) Than a finish is applied over that. Have you considered contacting "Realtree"? Last I heard they would do custum dipping
