# 11 vrs. musket caps - is one better than the other?

Out of the 100 CCI # 11 caps I used on my Knight Wolverine last fall, exactly one didn't fire. Naturally this occured while the gun was aimed at a nice 5 pt'er. Luckily, the buck was cooperative and the next cap worked (as well as the 240 grains of lead). So naturally I'm thinking, crap - should I be using musket caps? Well, should I?Yes I realize that 99% is pretty good, but I'd prefer 99.999% or 98 % but the two bad ones are marked a different color or something......you get the idea.

I've used CCI #11's for years, first in my Knight MK-85, then on several TC Arms Hawken rifles since switching to traditional rifles; Then I switched to their CCI#11 Magnums when they came out with them a few years ago and they have been 100% so far...and I shoot several hundred a year...(just burned about 100 this wekend shooting Saturday and Sunday at the range; My suggestion would be that you don't need to go to musket caps, but I'd highly recommend the CCI #11 Magnums...they've been completely reliable for me and as the name suggests, they are hotter as well.
