Presidential Remington Muzzleloader 1881

I have recently aquired this muzzleloader. It is unique in that it was handmade in 1881 for then president J.A.Garfield. There are three mounted silver plates bearing his seal. It has very intricate designs on each side and on the under tang also . They are pictures of Pheasants in flight. I am interested in confirming the authenticity of this piece. There aren't any serial numbers that I can see. Just the Remington Stamp but very decorative a little different than the normal Remington stamp.
