Why do I see so many smith's for sale on the web ,? when here in wisc. it is hard too find a dealer????

    A lot of folks are still mad at S&W over the "settlement" issue. Personally, I think ant Pre-Settlement guns does not add to S&W's profit line, and the new owners deserve a break since they were not the British B@$t#&ds that caved in. (that will get it started) They make the best wheel guns on the market (imho), and bulit some nice auto's also. (that will make it worse)Dealers are getting hard to find due to the requirements of the settlement making it too much trouble to qualify as a dealer. You can go to their website and search for a dealer in your area. www.smith-wesson.com

    Ron Shirk's in Lebanon is still a solid S&W distributor.As to the politics, I agree with the last post. Why punish the employees for something done beyond their control and by someone now gone? There is no better revolver made.

    I was at a "factory shoot out" gun show here in ILLINOIS over the weekend. The SW reps were there. There was a line of about 60 people ALL day long filling out paperwork for their "new buy". I'd say 75% had just purchased a SW. I agree with dheffley. Been buying their wheel guns since 1950 and still think they are first rate. {politics aside }I opted for a Ruger Super Redhawk......again the wife isn't talking to me....OH WELL....
