Miller, thought I would suggest the following since no one really mentioned it. For the last 4 years I have used a 7mm STW, I have a Sako TRG-S and a Winchester Model 70 that will both shoot 3 shots touching at 100 yards with Winchester Supreme 140 gr. Ballistic Silver Tips. The 7STW shoots very flat and has plenty of energy for deer. It does not kick as bad as the 30 caliber Magnums in my opinion. Sighted 3" high at 100 yards, it is only 7-8" low at 400.
