I have been thinking of rebarreling an action for it, I hear they are accurate.

get less than an inch at 100 yds with mine. great caliber. fixin to start working up some handloads and with that the group sizes will go down. plenty of power too. killed a deer at 256yds according to my bushnell yp 800 and it spun the deer around. bullet hit at base of neck and stopped just in fron of the hips. the deer hit the ground so fast i missed seeing it fall.

if you rebarrel an action that wasn't set up for the 'short mag.' you may have feeding problems. the short mag. is larger in dia. that anything else on the market. just something to consider.

Mike. my idea was to take the winchester stainless laminated chambered for it right out of the box and throw away the factory barrel. Then have a nice Hart barrel cut for it, pillar bedded and headspaced tightly. Then remove the trigger and get her down to my liking, if not, then install a jewell. Buddy of mine just finished this same thing and has a tack driver at 200yds all for only $1320. without the glass of course.
