C&R, what can you really get?

I am interested and am looking into getting a C&R. What can you actually purchase with a C&R? I know that any gun that qualifies as a C&R can be purchased, but I have also been told you can make limited purchases of newer guns, is this true?

The second admendment GUARANTEES the other nine and the Constitution!

Generally, any firearm over 50 years old qualifies under the C&R license. This can be shown by visiting the ATF site. To specifically answer your question, the contemporary Commemorative models made by Colt, Winchester, etc., qualify also. Emery

Pretty much all Winchester commemoratives are on the C&R list. I was gonna apply for one but California doesn't recognize C&R's less than fifty years old.
