Is an FFL required these days for shipping Black Powder rifles and or powder etc.via UPS these days? Say from a dealer to an individual?

Saxon is correct, no FFL is needed on black powder guns. You can buy them over the counter or order them sent to you directly.Likewise, none is needed for powder, but like ammunition, special shipping via UPS is required and is spendy.

Note that there are one (or 2) exceptiions to the above, like the TC Encore 209-50, reason being that they are convertable to a centerfire weapon[This message has been edited by Tailgunner1954 (edited 02-27-2002).]

You need to check state laws on state being shipped to: Some states require shipping to an FFL dealer only and others require a Purchase form before it is legal. Black Powder firearms are in danger of the same restrictions we now have on our regular firearms. Vote for you state and local officials with knowledge ot their position on gun laws...
