FAL/Hesse receiver ?'s

I just picked up my FAL today that I purchased from a man in AZ.The originalgun is an R1A1 sporter form Century Arms. He had it completely gone through by Arizona Expert Arms and they replaced a lot of parts that they deemed inferior. The rifle still has a Hesse rec.but I imagine that a lot of junk parts in it were replaced with good quality ones. Before he sold it to me,he put about 200rounds through it without a single problem. Now I know that Imbels are regarded as the best, but does anybody have any experiences with Hesse?I've heard they kinda have a bad rep as far as quality is concerned. Could this be due to the poor quality of parts used in them and not necessarily due to the actual construction of it? Thanks All!

I have the Hesse Receiver on a CETME. It is a Century Arms bought through FAC before I knew anything about them [like I could have saved some money]. They are cast and heat hardened. I have been on web sites and find opinions are about 50/50. Have had no problems with mine except that the barrel was put on incorrectly and had to send it back. I have only fired 300rd with 3 different brands of mags. Mags fit tight, weapon cycles and it goes "bang" every time I pull the trigger.

I don't think you'll have any problems, and you're welcome.
