reloading for a S&W 29-2 44 mag

i have a S&W mod 29-2 .44 mag with a 4 inch barrel...how stable of a platform is this for reloads? does anyone have any good loads for black bears??

    I think most people would suggest you not hot-load .44 Magnum rounds for the M29-2. They are superb guns, but were not designed for steady use of hot ammo. The more-recent Classic models are able to handle the higher pressures you might need.

    I would use a heavy bullet,and load within (saami) standards and that should be good medicine for black bear.
