Iroquois Scout .45-70 vs .45-90

I don't know why our topic was locked, but just wanted to say to all of you thanks for responding. I have about decided to stick with the .45-70, I can shoot both black powder and smokeless in it and be happy. Thanks again.

    I think that the topic got locked because it was degenerating into a discussion rather then staying with a technical topic. I hope that the comments of all of us were of some help to you. I think that your decision to stay with the .45-70 Govt. is the right one. The longer .45 caliber cartridge cases are really more specialized and don't handle smokeless powder to efficiently,while the .45-70 will do it all. Best Regards Scout
