I have one of those Jamming Jennings 9mm,handuns by Bryco.I have tried to keep it good and clean, and used name brand ammo in it,but it continues to jam upon chambering a new round,it ejects the spent round just fine, just putting the new round in is a problem.I am using high capacity mags,I don't load them full, just about 10 rnds, could the mags be causing this ? Thanks for all the help.

I'm not the expert you're looking for, but I'll have to do until one comes along. Or maybe no expert will answer this, because your pistol isn't exactly top quality (but you knew that).

You didn't say how well it works with the factory mag. So I'm going to assume it does work OK with that. I have noticed that many after-market hi-cap mags take a lot of force to push the top round forward and out. Some have had success smoothing the inside of the lips with a file. If you have the tools and mechanical skill, you can check the lips in comparison with the factory mag and make sure they are the correct distance apart in front and back.

Best advice: get a better gun and/or better mags.

I am no expert but a know Jennings Pistols are known for that. If you like the Gun I would suggest getting the feed ramp polished by a competent Gun smith. I have alot of those guns over the years, and most of them need a little tinkering to make them reliable.

    Good Luck.

Load two rounds less that capacity and see if that takes care of the problem. If so I belive it is the Magazine spring being too strong causing too much friction for the round to chamber.

I have one of those Bryco beauties...It belonged to a friend who died a couple years ago. I have tweeked, cleaned, adjusted etc. I have come to the conclusion it is just a turd and there is nothing I can really do to make it much better. I only keep it for sentimental reasons.

Putting all the bad comments aside for a moment about them, I think your problem is the mag. Thw gun already has it's problems using factory mags, so using an after market (especially hi-caps) will
only multiply feeding problems. As already stated, you can try to polish feed ramp, but don't expect miracles from it. GD

Yes the problem is the feed port, the darned things are
made of brass, and they wear out real fast. Maybe a smith,
can weld it, and resurface it. But I advise another gun.
Buy one with a steel feed port, like a those on a 1911.

I'd say look into having the feed ramp modified by a gunsmith, polishing really doesn't do anything unless it is burred really bad.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

And unless you really love that gun, you might want to think twice about sending it to a smith and spending any more money on it. Most of the smith I know will probably talk you into investing in another reliable gun, like a P11. GD

Or you could have it done, and be the only person in the world with a bryco that shoots. LOL (Sarcasim)

From what I've read on previous posts the only good Jennings are the pre-Bryco manufactured ones.

If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.

That is what Jennings do best. Ramp work should be done by a smith, it is not a do it yourself job. Save your nickles and trade it on something better.
