Rainier Ballistics

These bullets are in the Midway catalog and I wanted to know if anyone had any experience w/them. They are listed as "electroplated" with copper, not copper jacketed. The price is about half that of jacketed bullets. I am hoping to get some info before ordering. I have seen lead bullets with a "copper wash" and it did not look uniform, so I stayed away. I reload and shoot alot and am trying to find a good quality, reasonably priced jacketed h.p. bullet. Any suggestions?

Am considering purchasing some Rainier Ballistics 165gr RNFP to reload in my 40 S&W SIG 226. Does anybody have any experience using their products? I've only been reloading for about 6 months and have only reloaded using Speer and Laser-Cast bullets at this point. Just wondering if they tend to be of good quality. Also I've read (on their website) that these can be safely reloaded with the specs in the Speer reloading manual for the Speer TMJ bullets. Other sources recommend that these be reloaded to the levels of cast bullets. Any ideas?

I've used their metal enclosed bullets in .40 & .357 Sig. Both functioned well & shoot as well as I can . . . which is not a wringing endorsement from a Combat Master.

Have had good results from Ranier bullets in .45. No quality issues at all. Recommend that you try a small quantity to confirm how well they work for you and your gun before you buy a big quantity, but I don't think you will have any problems.

Thanks for the input, I'll have to try them out in my SIG.
