Buffalo Classic

I would like some opinions from those of you who have actually shot the NEF Buffalo Classic model CR-1871 rifle in .45-70. I just about have one ordered but haven't put the down payment down yet. Thanks for some honest opinions of this gun.

    Considering sending my son's handi rifle back to be fit with a 45-70 buffalo classic barrel, so I can have some fun with it too. Was just wondering if anyone knew if the standard factory forearm would fit this barrel. Rifle was bought as a .243 youth. Thanks in advance.

    Well, I guess the responses say it all. I've about decided on an 1885 highwall anyway in 45-90 and shoot black powder loads in it.
