Which .22-250,Ruger or Savage

I'm looking to purchase a .22-250.I can't decide which is the better shooter.The Ruger varmint or the Savage varmint? If I buy either I would like to mount it in a choate stock and install a sharp shooter trigger in the savage.I understand the trigger in the Ruger is a good one.Which would you choose and why?

    i have a ruger vt in 22-250 and really like it dont know much about the savage. You cant get a choate stock for the ruger77 because of the front receiver screw going in at a 45 degree angle
    you can goto www.riflestock.com to read about it
    i have choate stock for one of my winchesters i really like how if feels
    doc

    I have the Ruger 77 w/Bull barrel - I do like the way it shoots, but I have never tried the savage. I think Gun tests had an article on varmit guns and value, they said the Savage was as good and better priced. I, on the other hand, have always liked the fit and finish you pay for as part of the package. Of course I also have a tricked out SKS in the safe.
    I would go with the Ruger.....

    Savage already makes this exact rifle in the Choate stock. The Savage will shoot the pants off the Ruger.

    I have them both in heavy barrels. They both shoot good, however I do not like the trigger on the Savage. If I spent the money on trigger work I think the Savage would out shoot the Ruger. The savage trigger has really bad pull and feels rough and grity. If you buy the Savage the money you save will be spent on trigger work ( I think)

    I shoot them both. If you want pretty, get the Ruger. If you want a tack driver buy the Savage. This is not saying the Ruger is not a quality rifle.

    Its seems like alot of the newer Savages really have alot better triggers than they use to. The last four or five I handled have really just impressed me. I espescially admire the Tactical models.

    If I'm wrong please correct me, I won't be offended.
