FN 49 double action pistol

Does anyone have any info or experience with these FN handguns? I know there made in South Carolina and they arent overly pricey but havent heard anything about accuracy or reliability. Any feedback would be appreciated...

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

    F.N., Is a Registered Trade Mark of Fabrique Nationale, Herstal, Belguim from 1889 to date...If there is someone else using the name F.N., I don't know anything about them...! Please elaborate...I need to be brought up to speed...TNX.....

    The FN Forty-Nine is manufactured by FN Manufacturing in South Carolina. It is a subsidiary of FN Herstal, the parent corporation of Browning and Winchester. The 'FN Group' is the branch that specializes in police/military applications such as squad weapons.

    The FN 'Forty-Nine' (as in available in .40 and 9mm) is a DAO that resets after every trigger pull. I've handled a few of them, and Johnson Space Center security is armed with them.

    They are low price point pistols, and it shows. If a S&W Sigma mated with a Taurus Millenium, it would produce an FN Forty-Nine.
