30-06 sabots/need info

I was just reading the box of 500 reloading data and it said special dies are needed to center the bulleted sabot into the shell. If it is not centered within 1 or 5- 1000th of an inch the bullet will tumble or be inaccurate after 50-75 yards. I asked the seller the same question, now what happens when a shell is chambered or does each shell have to be placed individually into the chamber; what about magazine use?
We probably are that close anyway when we load shells, at least I am but it also said something about the use of special dies.
When I load a bullet into a shell I know it is tight especially with a crimp, but I have never crimped a sabot and want to know if it reacts much differently or does the sabot/bullet slide and get off center that much?

I haven't loaded sabots, but what I've read indicates that the "special die" is used to press the bullet firmly into the bottom of the sabot (before using the standard seating die to seat the sabot/bullet into the case)

Some guys like a mag full of lead, I still prefer one round to the head.

I was wondering what the special die did. I couldn't figure out if it had to do with seating the bullet into the sabot or seating the saboted bullet into the shell. Thanks for the clarification.

What special die? I need to know where to get one. I have two bags of red plastic sabots I was planning to load up. I received no directions. I need some directions & this die.

easy, I have no experience with this, but try contacting the manufacturer of the sabots & RCBS - if there's a special die for this purpose, they will surely have it.

I tried sabots in a 30-40 krag, 300 weatherby mag, and could not group them at all. they were fast, just like the add said, but you cant hit anything!! maybe it was just me, but I gave up on them after about 200 rounds .......dr.dirt
