Anyone Own one? have a clue how many , and when the production dates of the Browning High Power Competition 9mm was ?

Own one as a "Shooter".
Own one NIB (Plastic Black Box) for collection. 1981 (1981-PZ)
Although never catalogued, they were made in 1981-thru mid 83
the first ones came in black plastic fitted case.
The Later production were in styrofoam liner/cardboard box and
the lettering was machine etched as opposed to the early ones
being die cast.
I've "digressed" on this with several BHP collectors and a number
(THAT IS NOT CARVED IN GRANITE)is around 900 were imported to the
US OF A.
Have owned/traded or sold; I think 8 or 9 since '81.
