Coming to you guys for help again. Are all ruger mainspring housing latches the same? Will a mkII latch fit an 22/45 mkIII frame? Thanks for the help again.

You might check on the Gun Parts Corp, web site. They have Illustrated Part Brake Downs/Schematics, of many different guns. If they have the different Ruger pistol models you're interested in? You could compare the part numbers to see if they are the same.

That said. Given the difference between the plastic framed 22/45, and the steel frame Mark II. Seems unlikely, IMHO.

Part numbers are different. They are not the same parts. Thanks for the tip.

No. The 22/45 mainsprings are completely different than the "standard" Mark-series mainsprings. The Mark I, II, and III mainsprings are all essentially the same, but the Mark III has the "locking" mechanism (accessed through the small hole in the Mark IIIs grip frame). In the "standard" Mark-series, one can interchange mainspring assemblies between the I, II, and III gripframes, but some fitting may be required, and be aware if you do something like put a Mark II mainspring assembly in a Mark III, the lock won't be there (so you've eliminated a "safety" feature, even though someone may expect it to be there since it will be a Mark III and will still have a hole in its grip frame for the key).

There is no "Mark I" in the 22/45 line of Mark-series, but the mainsprings of both the Mark II and Mark IIIs in the 22/45 line should be interchangeable. (I have not tested this, personally, so I'll use the term "should." And you'll have the same "lock" vs. "no lock" as with the standard Mark-series pistols between the Mark III and Mark II in the 22/45 line.)
