Did Colt put "Eagle grips" on the Second Generation SAA's?

    Yes. Beginning in 1968, around the 50000SA serial number range.

    J.B.G. has the correct information Only the later Second gen guns had eagle grips. The early sec gen had just the Colt Pony logo. The second and third gen Guns with eagle grips are different Style then the many different style first generation Grips both with and with out the eagle.
    Colt just like Winchester made many RUNNING changes on how the made and marked their Guns Grips/ Stocks,Parts.

    YES !! my 1972 Colt SAA has them.
