What makes a model 11 an old style i own an 11 serial number 785xxx. it is engraved as well.

Mossy, is your gun actually engraved or is it roll stamped?
If engraved it would be at least a "D" grade gun. Remove the forearm and if you're comfortable with it the butt also. If indeed a graded gun there will be a D, E or F stamped into the wood in the inlet.

I'd be purdee tickled pink if the had made them through 1973. There'd be even more of these wonderfully rugged and reliable shotguns to be had.
