According to the Blue Book they are big buck rifles. Problem is they were made in 8 different grades, with ascending values. If you could find out which grade it is, it would help in valuation.

Although it's a real nice looking rifle. It's Weatherby/California style cosmetics, isn't every bodies cup of tea. To get top dollar out of it you're really going to have get hold of the proverbial right buyer.

Its been 25 years since I had one and it was a Regent? I believe, and was not as dressed as yours. Quite striking,,imo,,it is an upper half of grades ,but I am no expert on these---You can sell it here and get the value for that week for it-,

    jrs335,

Winslow Bros., then Winslow Arms was basically a stockmaking company which used several manufacturer's barreled actions for their line of rifles. Yours appears to be an FN Mauser Supreme.

This is a primer article which will give you some basic information about the rifles:

Thanks for all your input. Very helpful. I too believe it to be a Crown grade, any idea what the Bush D signifies, can't seem to find any info on that?

Well, I don't think you can begin to determine the value without knowing the caliber. I don't think ".300 Bush D" is the caliber. If there is no obvious caliber marking, you need to take it to a gunsmith who can make a chamber cast.

Looking for some help determining the value of a mid 1060's Winslow Arms Cal .300 Bush D Rifle. In like new condition the rifle has been on a rack for most of the last 40-50 years, not sure if it has ever been fired. Anyone with knowledge of this type of rifle would be gratefully appreciated as I am trying to sell it for a friend. For future reference, you almost got there with the photo posting. Just type leftbracket img rightbracket before each http photo address and then put leftbracket /img rightbracket just after, you can get the image to show up here in your posting. Use the flat sided brackets, not the ones with the little point in the middle. Here's what it looks like. Nice looking rifle.

Can anyone chime in on whether this looks like a Regimental Grade or the Crown Grade?

I found anther one of these Winslow Rifles with "BUSH.-A." on the side (guns international auction)
So no telling what that means. Every one of the 10 I have looked at over the last couple of days has been a little different. Some are probably Regimentals and some are Crowns. I hope yours really is a Crown.

My understanding is that the receivers were marked with the basic configuration of the rifle, in this case "Bushmaster" and then a grade A through (I believe) F. I don't have specifics on how the letter grade matched up to the named "grades" or if they do. Each Winslow could be ordered with various inlays to order so you can easily have a basic Regent rifle with inlays, etc.
