Had a fellow show me a 2&1/2" blue one last night. It was almost in mint condition. Had the small grips, but something seemed not quite right. At one time, I had a complete D fame collection. Wish I had kept them. This morning I looked at diamondbacks on GB and it dawned on me what was wrong with the one I looked at. It did not have a vent rib barrel. It had the diamondback stamping on the left side of the barrel, but it was faint.Does anyone know if Colt made such a gun?

I believe due to the shortness of the barrel a vent rib would be difficult to attach and look nice.

I have a 2 1/2" Diamondback in .38 spl and it has a vent rib on it. Due to the shortness of the barrel it only has one vent. I think all the snubbies came with small grips for concealment. Not sure if Colt made a gun like you describe, could you post a picture?
