After reading on a couple other forums and now here, thank you nononsense for a complete listing, I have to ask:
"What is Hornady still building/making?" Are they in trouble? Financial or otherwise? Is there something we as consumers and investors can do?
This might be a topic for General Discussion, moderators feel free to move it if you want.

I posted an abbreviated list of the bullets they will make this year in one of the threads. I think it was something like 22 cal through 30 cal.

No, not at all! They are healthy and wealthy, believe me!
I spoke with Steve for a few minutes this morning trying to get him to answer the question but he insisted that I wait for the release statement. We had just received our order of 90,000 pieces of custom brass but I wanted to check on some other things as well.
The process they have adopted will get the greatest amount of the most popular products into the hands of the consumers. I know. We all think that the AMAXs are the most popular. Well, they aren't obviously. The generic hunting bullets will get double duty for components and loaded ammunition so they will get the most attention. These choices were determined by the number crunchers and the productions specialists. The time management folks were brought in for the final assessment of which changeovers were dropped.
While this sounds like a bad idea for most of us who concentrate on their AMAX and Match bullets, the process will yield the highest returns for the public at large and for Hornady also.
I'm set with some of the AMAXs for this season but I will have to make some adjustments with Bergers for a couple of cartridges. I have to believe that Berger is in the same mindset and we will see those effects by lack of product rather than a statement.
Best.
I should have kept reading but posted this after I think the fifth link you gave.
One of my worries in all this is the strain on raw materials that I keep seeing getting exported. Notably copper.
But, it's good to hear they aren't going out on a limb to satisfy us, when in a few months time the panic buying will have slowed down and they will be holding the glut of goods made just for us. I hope as good firearms enthusiasts the normal purchasing habits will resume (on the upper end, not lower) and the bullet makers will once again be on a less harried schedule to make us products.
Hats off to Hornady, BTW, for all they've brought to the shooting world in the last ten years.
