You may have trouble selling the cylinder. The Freedom Arms pistols are all hand fitted. The cylinders are bored through the barrel. Because of this they may not be interchangable with other pistols then the one they are made for. I had a 44 mag and later wanted a 44 special cylinder made for it and the company wouldn't do it.

Freedom arms will for a price manufacture and hand fit an interchangeable cylinder for their revolvers... I have a 2nd year model of the .454 casull silhouette revolver... Just last year those folks made me a .45 colt caliber cylinder for that gun...I had to send the gun and $$$$$$$$$$$$$ out to them, but the new cylinder fits as good as the original in .454.... I sure wish our EXPERTS would speak to the subjects that they are expert on... It would sure cut down on some of the mis-information that gets out!!!

Thanks maybe I should contact F.A. and see if they will contact the original purchaser about buying his cylinder back. It does have a serial number on it.

To answer you original question as to value of this cylinder. Since you do not have the gun, other than a curio or a paper weight, it is worthless piece of steel. It only fits the original gun it was made for.Now let me get this straight, you only have the cylinder and no gun, correct? You want to contact the original purchaser of the gun so he can buy the cylinder back from you? Forgive me, but I think I have just entered the "Twilight Zone". FYI, Freedom Arms does not keep records of the people who buy their revolvers. Matter of fact, these revolvers have to go through independent FFL holders to be sold. The only time they may have a record of a sale is if someone has sent in a gun that needed repair.I am curious, how did you come by just a cylinder to a gun? Boomer

I was thinking the cylinder had to be fitted and if the firearm had been sent back they might have a record of who had sent it in. As to how I got it at the Tulsa gun show a couple of weeks ago a guy came by the table and asked if I bought gun parts. When I asked what he was selling he pulled out this cylinder he said he got it in a box of junk and didn't know what it fit. He ask me if I would give him 10.00 for it and then I offered 5.00. I thought it would make a neat paperweight if nothing else. Got home and started snooping to find out what it was and here we are.

WOW, that is wild! I wish you luck. BTW, Stephanie is the the one to ask for at Freedom Arms to look that info up for you. She is one of the nicest people I have run across. It may take her a couple of days to do it, but they may be able to help you. That cylinder would cost about $300 if you had it made for the gun.Boomer
