Mini-30 Mags

What are some good, reliable hi-cap after-market mags for the Ruger Mini-30? I've tried several brands that I had to utilize the "lifetime" guarantee on by returning them to the store where I bought them and getting a refund. None of them would feed reliablyand were made with pretty shoddy construction. Any ideas?

I recently purchased a mini-30 from gun broker and have heard that 95% of the after market mags do not work at all in them. What high capacity mags work in the mini-30?

    Thanks,

I haven't heard anything good about the after market mags for the Mini-30, but can tell you what I've found. Most of the available mags don't work reliably, but can be made to work by hand adjusting them with a dremel, file, drill and such. Comparing the after market mags to the factory mag and re-working it to come close to the factory mag dimensions in the lock-up and feed lip areas can do wonders. And one of the advantages to this is the mags don't cost an arm and a leg, as do factory Mini-14 mags or similar factory mags.
