More hi-cap mags. Other than that I don't think there's much else worth buying for an AK.

I thought the magazine loader was a good idea since I have plenty of strippers clips from my SKS, at the last gun show I asked to try one, It wasn't very easy to use, the vender said it takes practice, I kept my $7 bucks. I'd go with Greenlantern, buy more mags and load before you go.

I got a few things for mine...I got a 1" stock extender, a ventilated gas tube, and some "Night sights" for ak's.Don't expect much from these things though. The 1 inch extender did help a little with the short stock, but all it was is a cheap piece of rubber that screwed into the back. I guess it was worth it. The ventilated gas tube was a neat addition. I got it from an auction, from a dealer who also moderates ***parts.com. They sent me a part that didn't fit, and I had to file down the piece a lot so it would work. I let the seller know to watch out for that before he ships parts, and instead of "Thanks for the warning," I got a "NO REFUNDS!" "YOUR PROBLEM!" reply. No more business for them! Also, the welds holding the piece in place broke, so it's pretty much useless. The Night Sights don't work at all. They just give better sight visibility. Kinda neat though. I like em. Just don't spend more than 6 bucks for em.PS:You may notice a screw in your lower handguard that they use as a support... When you fire it gets REALLY hot and burns your fingers. You can fix that by taking off the pice and sticking a piece of electrical tape between the screw and the barrel. It will save blistered fingers.

Very few parts from past or present Communist-bloc countries install without fitting. They don't use the same type of "assembly line" type construction methods that we do.Their guns were(are)built by hundreds of workers ,sitting at hundreds of benches, building each gun individually for slave(or no)wages. We save costs our way, they save costs theirs.
