Anybody out there know anything about an old SxS marked Central Arms, St. Louis, Mo. serial #63349. I can't find anything in my reference material about it but it looks a whole lot like the Stevens. Same checkering pattern and size. Any help would be appreciated. GHD

Stevens Arms did make a line of shotguns named Central. Three models of sxs-215,315,and 311. There was a Central Arms Co.name stamped on some sxs that were made by Cresent for the Shapleigh Hardware Co.If yours does not one of the first three model numbers I would assume it was made by Cresent.

knifeusercollectins, Thanks for the reply. Where can you find values for these guns or do you just figure about the 311 prices?

These guns don't have a lot collector interest at this time so the values would probably be as shooters. I would think the prices would be very close to the 311's.

I would be extreemly suspicous that this was made by W. H. Davenport Firearms Company for Shapeleigh Hardware Company of St. Louis Missouri.Because it does NOT have the Davenport name on it --- it will have less collector interest. But believe me Davenport's were fine shotguns. If this were a Davenport number 1 or a number 3, I would be all over you like a duck on a June-bug to get you to sell it to me.An extreemly nice DIXIE evening to you:Regards:
