Does anyone have a opinion on these barrells. Are they a inexpensive alternative to Shilen etc.. Is it the old you get what you pay for? I am looking for a barrel for a custom mauser. Any Pros and Cons?

Thanks for the help.

I re-barreled a 98 Mauser in 35 Whelan with one of these barrels. The
customer supplied the barrel. I think he got it from midway.
Hunting accuracy was acceptable. I think the group was slightly less than 2 inches, but this was with his reloads, and his reloads scare me. He thinks the max load listed in a loading manual in the starting load. It probably would have done better with different ammo..

I should have added that there was a well known name brand 'scope
that I think he paid 29.95 for a 3 x 9. So the optics were not real
    great either.

    I had a Rem. 700 rebarreled with a A & B 280 barrel ($40 from Midway.) It shoots one inch 100 yard groups easy.
