Last winter and early this spring I would have been much more sure of the answer. At that time the NIB A-5 would have turned an easy grand or more. The one with the slug tube (if original and matching - and in 90% condition)... somewhere north of $700.00. The slug tube might turn $150.00 or so, but that depends on the area of the country you're in. Some places it could bring more, others there won't be a lot of interest.

In today's economy all bets are off. There are still folks with money and A-5's are desirable. Sweet 16's top the list and that won't probably change. What I worry about is that we'll see a bunch of these guns go up for sale and the values will reflect the glut.

I know some folks that collect such items and will offer a fair price, but I'd keep the guns for a few years as I think they'll offer a better return on investment than your stocks or bonds.

If you really need to part with these items, put them up for auction at this site. If you e-mail me at nordata@earthlink.net, I'll give you the number of a gentleman that deals and collects here in the northeast. I will instruct him that he is to make no offer on your items and that he is to supply information only. This way you'll be assured of fair price information and none of us will violate the rules of this board.

One other suggestion... Look at the auction board (here and others). You might get an idea of the current market.

    Good Luck!
