I JUST PICK UP A GOLDEN EAGLE RIFLE (.458 WIN.MAG.) ANY BODY HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM, GOOD/BAD ?, DO'S/DON'TS?

    I owned one in .300WM, very nice rifle, reminds you of a Weatherby,mine was made in Japan by Nikko , and it shot O.K. I did not reload for it, so I probably could have gotten better accuracy than the factory ammo, I sold it when I moved from Atlanta to D.C. area wish now I hadn't.

    They are known to be better lookers than shooters. About average or a little below in the accuracy department. But man, do they have nice wood or what?

    I used to be able to find them everywhere, solid $500 gun on the gun show circuit in the 1980's, but it seems they've dried up...

    THE WOOD CERTAILY IS SPECTACULAR (THE MOST CONVOLUTED PIECE OF CLARO WALNUT I'VE SEEN). I'LL PROBALY TRY SHOOTING IT WITH CAST BULLETS AS ELEPHANT SEASON ISN'T OPEN YET (IN WISCONSIN ANYWAY).
