It's black, it's bad, and it seems to be accurate as all get out... and I have a rather economical Tasco 3x9 44mm on top of it (I got it on sale for $99)... But I think the rifle will reach out farther than the Tasco can see... I'm interested in upgrading...

If you could spend up to $250 on a scope for your rifle what would it be?

If you could spend up to $500 what would it be?

If price was no object, what scope would it be?

BTW, the rifle is in .223...

Check out www.bearbasin.com they have good prices on the Burris Signature Series. That would be my $500 and less choice. Over $500 I would get the Black Diamond. I prefer Burris over Leupold anyday but my opinion is just that, opinion.

I would go to www.SWFA.com click on Tasco and buy a SS scope ... $299 ... you can spend more, but until you get to the Schmidtt & Bender level I don't think you can do any better. I would put either of the 2 I own up aginst a Leupold, Swarvoski or Zeiss ... Originally it was contracted for Navy Seals, avaiable to civilians at $800 and up (back in '93) ... IMHO, it is the only good scope Tasco ever had (and they didn't make it, just the distrubutor)

The only drawback is, its only avaiable with a mil-dot reticle. (To me that isn't a drawback, but not everybody likes the Mil-Dot)

The only bad thing about choosing a Kimber ...
... there are so darn many models to choose from!

If you really desire something, you'll find a way ?
? otherwise, you'll find an excuse.

If I had to buy a scope tomorrow for a varmint rifle and keep it under 500 dollars it would be a 6.5x20x44 Nikon MONARCH!! I've seen them, used them and did all the research I can and it the best under 500 dollar scope out there!!! GHD

ya missed one letter jesheba, www.natchezss.com.

request to be put on the mailing list, and ask for the master catalog when/if you order. They have pretty much everything.

A great rifle with a junk scope,....is junk.
