What can I expect to pay for a good Swedish Mauser mdl. 94 with all matching numbers? How about for the 9mm Lahti pistol?

The 1894 Swede is the little carbine--never plentiful or inexpensive. Expect to pay $350-$400 for one in unaltered collector condition. The Lahti comes in two flavors--the Swede Model 40 and the Finn L-35. The Finnish pistol is the more desirable of the two, and also the more expensive. Expect to pay as much as $2,000 for one in 95% condition. The Swedish pistol is much more common, and is priced accordingly; about $300-350 for one in 95% conditon. A word of caution as relates to Lahti buying: The pistol is designed with an "accelerator" part that gives an extra whack during the unlocking cycle due to the extreme cold in which these pistols were designed to be used, and the reduced efficiency of ammunition at those temperatures. This part can be removed, and the pistols used successfully without the part, in more temperate climates. Unfortunately, many shooters are unaware of these facts and as a result these pistols are sometimes found with cracked frames. So, insist on detail disassembing and closely inspecting your Lahti before purchase.

Thank you so much for the info! I bought a mdl 96 and now am very interested in the other Swedes. I have only recently started looking a collector guns and it seems that the prices have gone way up or there are just a lot of people hoping to get more then they are worth...

Hmmm, I have seen 94's go for $1000 and not infrequently for $600. If you find two for $350-$500 let me know!
