Any of you guys have a lasermax internal laser sight? If so, how long have you had it and how do you like it?

When Clinton left office they gave him a 21 gun salute. Its a damn shame they all missed....

Any of you guys have any experience with the lasermax internal laser sighting systems that replace the recoil spring guide rod for automatic handguns? Im thinkin of getting one and would appreciate your thoughts on the subject.

I got one for my Beretta 96. They work great and are alot of fun. Did not improve my shooting much. Very intiminating when you put that red dot on someone's chest. Seen them going for about $260.00 now from someone here on GB.

I have had one on my Sig 226 for years. I really like it. One of the best features is the fact that it is internal. You do not have to buy a new holster, and you do not have this big hunk of metal/plastic hanging off (or over) your pistol. Easy to install, no modifications required. Another feature I like is the pulsating beam. You can aquire the target a little faster than with a steady beam, because of the movement. It is like when you are hunting, sometimes you do not see the animal until it moves. With a steady beam you sometimes have to move the pistol to see where the beam is, with lasermax the pulsating allows you to locate the beam almost instantly.

If I knew then, what I know now.

I traded for a Glock 22 that had a LaserMax at a show, guy said the batteries were dead; I was leary and didn't give him nearly the deal he wanted, which was good since the laser didn't work even with new batteries. Anyway, he did give me the original reciept, box and warrenty card which hadn't been filled out; sent it in and in about 10 days had a brand new one ... turn-a-round and customer service was very good.

As to the laser itself ... its cool ... its a gadget ... but unless you know you may need an intimidator (such as LEO) they aren't very practical ... money would be better spent at Front Sight or more ammo to practice with ... unless you are like me, "if it itches, scratch it ... if you want it, buy it" ... you'll sleep better.

The only bad thing about choosing a Kimber ...
... there are so darn many models to choose from!
