7.62x54R vs the .270 please reply read below

How much recoil does the 7.62x54R have and how much does the .270 have and what can each be compared to

    Both are relativley mild in the recoil dept. Though both are totally different calibers.. one .30cal one .277 caliber.... The 7.62x54 is going too be along the line of 30-30 through .308 in the recoil dept...not quite as much as an 06. It also depends on what type of rifle your shooting it out of(weight,balance,recoil pad, ect..) The .270 rem was basically remingtons answer too a relativley hard hitting, flat shooting round that doesnt have the recoil of the 7mm magnum or the 30-06....And still maintains high velocities and fpe...

    I find the 7.62x54R has a good amount of recoil for those not used to that level of recoil. I shoot it from a Mosin Nagant carbine, which has that nice metal buttplate for your comfort.
