price range for full auto thompson

i would like a price range for a .45 cal. full auto thompson. i have not seen the the gun, nor do i know what comes with it. it was a friend's dad's gun and it's for sale. his dad died, but left a price list on all his guns b4 he passed. my friend told me that the gun is transferable, and i know it's legal to own in my state. i can't find any info on the piece in the blue book. this may be a difficult question to answer with so little info on the gun, but any help would be great. there are several other guns in the collection and i hope to make an offer on the lot if it's as nice as i think it is.

    A friend of mine saw a beat up POS for $6000. Someone on this board mentioned one for $16000. For that money I would buy a Barrett 82A1 for $7000-$8000 and not have to go through the NFA hassle.

    They start out around 2500 for a standard gun and go up from there based mostly on the history of the gun and its collectability.....

    this is a very desireable full auto. Have seen them for 6ooo to 8ooo.

    Class 3 dealer I know here in GA had one a few weeks ago for $4500.00. Post WW2-came with 2 30-rnd stick mags. Tried everything I could to come up with the cash, couldn't do it. Could cry-killer deal.

    Gotta stop and see if we are all talking apples to apples. The earlier ones, like the 1927's, etc., will take the drum magazines. They are in the $6000 and up. The military ones that only take the stick mags are less. Better find out what kind your friend's dad had and go from there. Most of the drum magazines start around $550 and go up quickly....
