Can you ID my shotgun?

I recently purchased a shotgun that has no mfg on it. The only markings are Model 400. It is a 12 gauge, side by side. The barrels have modern blueing. Under the barrel the follwoing marking were noted. FB, 12g, 70mm, and a proof mark the was a circle with SP inside it. On top it had a semi circle that resembles a pitch fork with three tines.
Anyone know who made this? My local gunsmith said that it might be a Japanese copy of a Fox Model B.
Thank You All!!

Sounds like a Beretta, from your description of the picthfork in a circle.

If rather fancy with nice engraving, only the SKB comes to mind... And M-400 is correct!

Not a copy of the "B", not even in the same class. This is a very nice gun and could easily pull over $700.00 if I'm not too far off the beaten path.

Any more details you might share?
